Your First Visit

Your first visit to Simply Orthodontics is an enjoyable experience where your orthodontic concerns will be discussed in a friendly and private environment. The appointment is informative, yet informal and you are encouraged to ask questions and discuss any concerns you may have.

Initially you will be greeted by our clinical staff who will take clinical photographs of your teeth and facial features. Your Orthodontist, Dr Jonathan Skilton or Dr Jason Yap, then joins you in the private consultation room for a thorough clinical orthodontic examination. He will discuss with you your orthodontic concerns and treatment options as well as answer any questions that you may have.

Your Treatment Coordinator will then outline the financial aspects of treatment, including our generous payment plans. She will discuss with you the perks of joining the Simply family such as our Brace Bucks program, patient competitions and our online patient service.

At the end of your consultation with Dr Jonathan Skilton or Dr Jason Yap, you will be well informed about your orthodontic treatment options. At no point will you feel pressured to enter into treatment and our knowledgeable staff will be more than happy to answer any questions for you at any time!

We understand that sometimes there is a wealth of information to digest and you may prefer to review all this information at a later time. At Simply Orthodontics, you will also receive a treatment plan and report, outlining the discussed recommended treatment options. This detailed plan will allow you to review the information presented at the initial consultation at your own convenience.

As Dr Jonathan Skilton and Dr Jason Yap believe strongly in a multidisciplinary approach, a thorough report will also be forwarded to your dentist so that he or she will be well aware of your orthodontic needs and concerns, as well as the proposed recommendation for treatment. This way, we help to ensure that you have the best overall dental care!
